FINANCE MANAGER – HOTEL INDIGO, EXETER

We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead the hotel finance function, we are looking for an individual who can manage the demands of a quite distinctive property.
This is very much a high visibility, proactive, commercial/operational finance role requiring a confident, collaborative approach as well as the ability to challenge the norm.
As Financial Manager you will have responsibility for all accounting records, controls and management information. With excellent commercial acumen you will oversee the production of forecasts whilst ensuring that the hotels achieve their financial targets.
You will need demonstrate thorough and practical understanding of P&L Reporting as well as the separate companies Balance Sheets and Bank Reporting requirements.
As our Finance Manager, you will join a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional service where we believe that anything is possible, whilst having fun in all that we do!
Will need to ensure day-to-day finance functions at the hotel are completed. This includes Cash banking, credit card reconciliation, ordering and purchase ledger, and sales ledger functions.
Preparing payroll schedule for outsource HR agency.
Ensure compliance on both management and financial reporting working closely with both internal stakeholders and external agencies to manage, facilitate, and coordinate all aspects of the finance function.
Collaborate with the Owners, Focus Head Office Finance Team and the Hotel General Manager in developing financial targets and subsequent plans to ensure their delivery.
Weekly and monthly reporting to the Owners including accurate and timely reporting of all financial aspects.
Preparation and detailed workings for of preparation of the annual financial accounts and submissions of the Statutory Accounts.
Commercially astute with strong analytical skills and an exception eye for detail.
A track record of achievement within a financially driven environment and delivering multiple projects across a multi-site arrangement.
An exceptional organiser with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills across a variety of disciplines.
Experience of working in a successful team.
Considerable practical working experience with a variety of Finance roles in a hotel environment or related hospitality industry.
Worked with different hotel operating systems, including PMS and EPOS solutions, as well as reporting tools to facilitate preparation of the variety or financial outputs required.
Working knowledge on the requirements of an Internal and External Audit programme.
Positive attitude to dealing with the various partners and external support organisations required for delivery of the role.
