Focus Hotels Management Ltd has added the historic Swan’s Nest Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon to its portfolio of managed hotels across the UK.
The 72-bedroom hotel enjoys a serene setting overlooking the River Avon with spectacular views and fantastic amenities. It is a short walk to the bustling town centre.

Offering a range of stylish, contemporary services, Swan’s Nest Hotel is nestled in the heart of Shakespeare’s hometown and draws visitors all-year round. The Georgian townhouse makes for a beautiful hotel reflecting its historical character combined with luxurious interiors and elegant bedrooms.

Focus Hotels Management Chief Executive Peter Cashman said: “Many hotels across this region lay claim to a long history but very few can list as long or as rich a history as the Swan’s Nest Hotel.

The landmark building was one of the earliest brick houses in the town built around 1673, and the bricks are known to have been made on the site. The house has been used as an inn at least since the Restoration under its original name the ‘Bear’. It later became a warehouse and was then re-launched as ‘The Shoulder of Mutton’.“The town and surrounding countryside is one of the most popular visitor destinations in the country and the Swan’s Nest makes a perfect location for enjoying a relaxing break or exploring famous landmarks. You can follow in the footsteps of Shakespeare and enjoy large parts of Stratford-upon- Avon as he would have recognised it.

“We are thrilled to have added this great hotel to our portfolio.”
Crucially for business, the Swan’s Nest Hotel has easy access from London and M40. It is just 27 miles from Birmingham International Airport. The hotel unveiled a collection of new suites following a £1.3million investment last year.
